Netherlands end Poland's EURO 2024 hopes

Poland started the match brightly and had the first chance of the game, but Arkadiusz Milik's shot was saved by Jasper Cillessen.

Netherlands then took control of the game and deservedly took the lead in the 35th minute when Cody Gapko fired home from close range.

Poland equalised in the 54th minute through Matty Cash, but Memphis Depay restored Netherlands' lead just two minutes later.

Poland pushed for an equaliser in the closing stages, but Netherlands held on to secure the victory.

The result means that Poland are eliminated from EURO 2024, while Netherlands have reached the last 16.
