Rangnick to take over as United's interim manager

Ralf Rangnick to take charge at Old Trafford

German coach to take temporary reins after Solskjaer's departure

Ralf Rangnick is set to take over as interim manager of Manchester United following the departure of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, the club has confirmed.

The German coach, who has previously managed RB Leipzig and Schalke, has signed a six-month contract at Old Trafford.

Rangnick, who is known for his high-pressing style of play, will take charge of his first game against Crystal Palace at Old Trafford on Sunday, 5 December.

The 63-year-old has a wealth of experience in coaching and has helped to develop some of the most exciting young players in Europe, including Erling Haaland and Timo Werner.

He will be hoping to have a similar impact at Manchester United, who have struggled for form this season and are currently eighth in the Premier League table.
