How to Remove Acrylic Nails At Home
Tools and Materials
- 100 percent pure acetone
- Tray or bowl
- Acrylic nail clippers
- Floss pick or cuticle pusher
- Metal cuticle pusher
- Cotton balls or pads
Instructions
- Remove most of the length with acrylic nail clippers to make the removal process easier and quicker.
- Pour 100 percent pure acetone into a tray or bowl that is large enough to fit your nails.
- Soak your nails in the acetone for five minutes.
- Use a metal cuticle pusher to gently remove the polish from your nails starting from the bottom edge of the nail.
- Pry up the bottom edge of an acrylic nail with a floss pick or cuticle pusher and gently lift the acrylic nail off your natural nail.
- Use a cotton ball or pad dipped in acetone to remove any remaining polish or adhesive residue.
Tips
- Be careful not to damage your natural nails when removing the acrylic nails.
- If the acrylic nails are difficult to remove, soak them in acetone for a longer period of time.
- Do not use acetone on your natural nails, as it can damage them.
- After removing the acrylic nails, apply cuticle oil or moisturizer to your natural nails to help them recover.
